		RS & Associates trading as Magalies Park Marketing has been the marketing agent for Magalies Park Country Club since it's inception way back in 1985.


Thomas Richards, as co-director of RS & Associates, started in 1985 with Francie Arriol joining him as a director in 1987. They have had the privilege of seeing in excess of twelve thousand families becoming members over the years. A steady sales turnover of R12 million per year has been achieved with five of their consultants having been awarded recognition as being the "top ten" sales consultants, by RCI, for five of these past fourteen years (1985-1999). RS & Associates have been responsible for affiliating in excess of twelve thousand new members to RCI since inception. Magalies Park, originally known as Riverbend Farm, was acquired by the LOURENS VAN ASWEGEN FAMILY TRUST, and in 1985 they decided that the Hartbeespoort area was in dire need of a top country club and timeshare resort. Loutjie van Aswegen, the developer, well known and respected business man in the Pretoria area had various business concerns with his brother, Neels, amongst which was the Van Aswegen Discount Store. Magalies Park was transformed from a cattle-breeding farm into one of South Africa's premier timeshare and golfing estates. RS & Associates employs twelve full-time, on-site consultants and a telemarketing team of twenty who operate from their Ifafi and Johannesburg offices. The relationship between Loutjie van Aswegen, Magalies Park and RS & Associates has always been one of mutual respect, collaboration and the knowledge that member's satisfaction and well being come first.

Magalies Park entered this competition in 1996 and in our first year was a top five finalist in the category "Resorts Large". Each year since then Magalies Park has remained in the top five of resorts nation-wide, an accolade which represents consistently high standards of accommodation, hospitality and standards.

This accolade was awarded to Magalies Park by "Leading Venues" and "Venue Finders" as a finalist in 1996 and 1997. Due to a fire in 1998 and the completion of a new convention centre in 1999, Magalies Park to date has not entered this competition again.
